1)教師提問學生的生日：Whose birthday is in January / February / March/ April? 讓生日在1～4月的學生到前邊逐個介紹自己的生日，例如：Hi! I'm _.My birthday is in January.讓下面的學生注意聽，盡力記住每個人的生日月份(不能用筆記錄)。然后學生按任意順序站成一排，讓下面的學生憑記憶說出他們的生日。從第一個開始，教師說This is .... Start! 學生開始搶答，答對者得一分。看看誰的瞬間記憶好。

2)把數量相等的1～4月的英語單詞分別寫在紙條上，然后學生抽簽得到自己的月份，按照月份分成小組，以月份名稱為組名，如January Group;各小組討論在自己的月份里有哪些節日，學校有哪些活動，周圍的人會進行哪些活動。用英語記下來，不會的可以用圖畫表示。最后向全班介紹展示討論結果。

3)Just write.

1)教師請學生分成小組完成學生用書第50頁的制作討論活動。鼓勵學生聯想以前學過的句型來交流，例：Who is this? Where is he / she? Do you like ... ?

1)教師先讓學生展示自己做的日歷卡片，讓學生們互相看一看，讀一讀。然后展示自己的幾張卡片(5～8月)，為大家一一介紹，引導學習本課的單詞和句子。

2)Talk about mouth. 請學生說出有關5～8月的相關信息，比如節日等，引導學生探究學習，并給予學生及時的鼓勵。

3)Look, listen and read by themselves.

1.展示教學掛圖，播放錄音，教師隨著錄音指示掛圖中的內容。

2.T：Do you know what months they are talking about? Please read by yourselves and find the names of the months.

4)Listen to the tape again and repeat.

5)用同樣的方法學習后面的三段話。借助圖片、簡筆畫和手勢動作幫助學生理解文中生詞的意思，必要的地方可以用漢語適當解釋。

猜月份游戲。學生四人一組，每個小組發一張白紙，要求每組裁成四小張，每張寫上5—8月的英文，然后把反面扣在桌上，學生一個一個來猜，每個學生猜一張，先說英語單詞，再翻開卡片，看到單詞再說一個句子，例: May is the fifth month of the year.猜對并句子說對的學生贏的卡片，誰卡片多，誰是冠軍。

3)小組討論。說說自己喜愛的月份和節日，和老師、同學互相展示自己喜歡的月份或節日的照片和圖片，并能用2—3句英語進行描述。

4. Assessment (5 ’)

1. 小組討論完畢，每組派一個同學上講臺總結匯報自己小組最喜歡的月份和節日，教師適當給予獎勵。

3)用同樣的方法學習6月至8月。

4)Play a game:出示5—8月的第一個英語字母，讓學生猜是哪一個月份;老師說中文時，讓學生說出英語，老師說英語時，讓學生說中文，反復練習幾次。

1)繪畫討論：

教學過程：

一. Class opening and review

Review “ past tense” and “ future tense” verbs with a game. Write three columns of words on the blackboard and ask for volunteers to match them correctly. As each student makes a match, he or she says “Yesterday I___de. Today I___. Tomorrow I am going to__.

Introduce

Add “buy” “teach” and “think” to your “today” column. Ask the students to give you the future tense for each verb and write them under your “tomorrow” column. Then write “taught” “thought” “bought” in a different order than the other two columns, and ask the students to guess how they match with the present-tense verbs. Point out the similarities in spelling “bought” “taught” “thought”

Use the student book

Pause after Number 1 in the student book. Review the story so far. Today Jenny and Li Ming went to the store buy some clothes for Li Ming to the pictures in the student book. Who are they talking to?

Note the word “player” in the lesson. A “players” plays something, such as a sport.

Practice

Play “What’s wrong?” to practice the new past tense verbs, and other tenses and verbs.

Play “spelling Bee” to practice spelling any vocabulary in this unit.

Tech “Oh, what did you do?” in Number 3 of the student book.

Use the activity book

Number 2 in the activity book is a listening exercise. The students listen to each sentence on the audiotape and change it into the past—tense. Here’s how the audiotape goes:
