一、教學內容
本課圍繞方位展開話題，重點學習四個介詞：up，down，near，a，讓學生能夠用英語表達事物的方位。
二、教學目標
1、知識目標：
1)、詞匯：hill，house，station，train，up，down，near. 2)、運用方位介詞up，down，near，a.
2、能力目標：
1)、能聽懂老師發出的指令，迅速做出反應。
2)、能根據提供的信息，完成新詞的學習與訓練。
3)、能運用所學知識進行簡單的英語交流。

四、說學情
四年級的學生活潑好動、求知欲強，對直觀、形象的事物比較有興趣，喜歡模仿和游戲。對英語的學習積累了一些能力和方法，在三年級已經掌握了少量的介詞，如：on，in，under等。并且在第一單元中接觸了簡單的問路和指路的句型。這些都為本課的學習做了良好的鋪墊。

多媒體教學課件、教學圖片、單詞卡、貼貼等。
六、說教學過程
(一)、導入設計
1、Warm up：Sing a song.—left foot, right foot, left foot, right…以此把學生帶入今天的課堂。這樣學生就自然地進入到一個良好的英語氛圍，當歌聲落下，我熱情地和學生打招呼，與學生用英語進行簡單的交談。出示課件和簡筆畫，用Excuse me. Where is…?進行看圖問答，復習問路和指路使用的語言。請全班同學為踴躍舉手的同學鼓掌，肯定他們的努力，鼓勵他們大膽嘗試。
2、Let’s go to a place. Look!Here we are.把本課的hill, station, house，rain等圖片展出。使用單詞卡片學習單詞hill, station ,house, rain。反復操練后，接著開展I can read!活動，檢測學生對單詞的熟練程度。
(二)、新課呈現
1)、用簡筆畫添上一條鐵軌。Let’s go by rain.邀請學生們一起坐著這輛火車去游玩，播放CD-ROM，為了更好地完成課程目標，我給學生下達了任務：讓他們注意看圖中火車分別進行到什么位置?這些內容用英語又怎樣表述呢?為了更好地幫助學生聽懂錄音，同時把Where is train_? It’s _.寫在簡圖的下方。
2)、兒童的心理特點是好奇的，所以我選在這個時候為學生的疑問對故事中表示位置的介詞進行講解：把火車頭對著山頂開，然后說：We are up the hill。然后操練和檢測;用同樣的方式學習down the hill，near the houses，at the station。
3)、再聽一遍錄音，帶讀課文。
(三)、鞏固操練
1、活動一：搶答游戲，題型包括：
1、Read and match.
2、Lisening.
3、Read and complete.
4、Look and say(SB活動3).
2、活動二：播放課文活動4錄音，鼓勵學生跟著韻詩唱起來、動起來。
(四)、課后作業
畫出從學校到家的路線圖，運用本單元學過的知識向同學介紹從學校到家的路線;向家人介紹從家到學校的路線。

1.復習鞏固描述人物特征的形容詞：quiet, friendly, tall, thin, small, long hair;復習鞏固用顏色及物品。

2.播放教材第30頁Let’s sing的錄音，進一步復習描述人物的形容詞，通過歌曲來活躍氣氛，提高學生學習的興趣。
(二)呈現新課 (Presentation)
1.Let’s play a guessing game.讓我們來玩個猜猜猜游戲：
師：I have a good friend. He’s/She’s…. He’s/She’s…. He/She has…. Who is he/she?
通過描述班上一個或幾個特征較為明顯的學生，讓學生通過猜來學習運用本課重點詞匯：quiet, friendly, tall, thin, small, glasses, brown shoes, a blue bag, long hair, short hair, he, she等。
2.出生Look and find部分掛圖或Fred, Kate, Ben, Ann等人物圖片，通過連線進一步練習句型He’s/She’s…. He’s/She’s…. He/She has…. Who is he/she? 及詞匯quiet, friendly, tall, thin, small, glasses，brown shoes, a blue bag, long hair, short hair, he, she等知識。
3.播放Read aloud and match the pictures部分錄音，讓學生完成在圖片中的標號。
4.完成Read aloud and match the pictures部分的另兩幅圖片的對話。

(引導學生說出too big/small,并做動作表示含義。同時用卡片出示句型it’s too big/small.)

呈現形式：教師示范，說出look at his jacket,由學生說it’s too big.并以開火車形式操練。
同理，拿出圍巾和毛線衫，熟悉scarf和sweater
2. 拿出另一件夾克，再讓學生試穿，熟練使用”try this one on”和”it’s too small/big.”t: try this one on.

出示卡片：try this one on，并帶領全班讀熟。
3. 教師拿出帽子試戴，操練以上說學句型。
教師先做示范，然后請同學傳遞操練：

板書 love,并再前面用紅色粉筆加上字母g，組成”glove”，拿出一只手套示意。
帶領大家讀glove。然后再拿出一只，變成復數gloves。

① 拿著兩只手套，說a pair of gloves (反復閱讀pair)
② 讓學生說其他成雙成對的物品(用實物提示)

教學目標：鞏固前兩節課所學公共場所類，交通工具類單詞，能用is this… for… ?向他人詢問。
教學準備：三塊較大的硬紙板做的牌子，分別寫有：changzhou airport， changzhou railway station ， changzhou bus station ，三套16k紙(每套8張)， 每張紙一面畫著飛機，或火車、汽車，另一面寫著不同的地名。
教學過程：
step 1. revision.
1、利用圖片復習交通工具，公共場所類單詞。
2、free talk(交流五一假日計劃)
t: where are you going, a ?
