C. Teach the Present Progressive.
1. Introduction
Tell the Ss what the Present Progressive is. (現在進行時表示現在正在進行或發生的動作, 它的表現形式為Be Verbs + V-ing ---- 這也即為它的結構式.)
2. Tell the difference
Write down the V-ing forms by another lines of go, watch, do, play and eat on the blackboard. Ask the Ss to have a look and find the difference between them. For example: go and going, watch and watching, do and doing, etc. Then, ask the Ss to read them again.
3. Listen to the tape.
Let the Ss get ready to listen to the tape (paper and ball-point pen).
Check the answer: 2 4 1
4. Activities.
The teacher acts several actions and say :”What am I doing?”, help Ss answer: ”I’m opening the door.”
(The other actions: look at someone, clean the window)
Write down the three sentences on the blackboard, and ask the Ss to pay attention to the important words underlined:

5. Pairwork.

(The Ss must like to do it, so the teacher can ask many pairs to do this game and, the Ss can be familiar with the Present Progressive step by step. They can have fun in the classroom during this class, it’s the most important.)
7. Self-assessment.
The teacher prepare for the Ss some listening exercises, and play the cassette, let them finish these exercises at once. Then, check the answer. The Ss can understand whether they have learned about the Present Progressive.
8. Do the exercises.
The teacher have the Ss some exercises, and ask the Ss to do at once.

一、 重點詞匯
1. one hundred and five
表示具體的“幾百”時,用“基數詞+hundred”表示,注意此時hundred不能加s.
hundreds of表示“數百;成百上千的”,這是hundred后面有s,而且hundreds后面要有介詞of,并且不能與數詞連用。
與hundred 用法類似的還有單詞:thousand,million,billion.

bus stop與bus station 都是指“公共汽車站”。

stop doing sth. “停止做某事”(停止正在做的)

5. Crossing the River to School
cross是動詞,“穿越,越過”,主要指“橫穿”。
還可以作名詞,意為“十字形,叉形符號”。
across既可以作介詞,也可以作副詞。
crossing 是名詞,“渡口,交叉點”。

how 引導的特殊疑問句
1.how 引導的特殊疑問句提問交通方式,其答語分三種情況:
a. take a/an/the+交通工具(單數)
take +a/an/the+表示交通工具的名詞,乘……去某地。
He takes the train.
b. by+交通工具(單數)
c. on/in+限定詞+交通工具
by+表示交通工具的單數名詞或on/in+ a/an/the/one’s+表示交通工具的單數名詞,是介詞短語作方式狀語。
I get to school by bike. = I get to school on my bike.
3.walk/ride/drive/fly+to+地點名詞,步行/騎自行車/開車/坐飛機去某地
表示乘交通工具方式可以互換表達相同的意義:
Take the bus to school=go to school by bus=go to school on a bus
Drive a car to work=go to work by car=go to work in a car
Fly to shanghai=go to shanghai by plane/air=take the/a plane to shanghai=go to shanghai on a/an/the plane.
2. how far 用來提問距離,多遠,其答語分為兩種:
(1)用長度單位表示:It is five kilometers.
(2)用時間表示:It’s twenty minutes’ walk.
3.how long 用來提問時間,意為多久回答常用“for+段時”。
----How long have you learnt English?
----For 3 years.
4.how soon 用來提問做完某事還需要多長時間, 常用于將來時態時, 常用“in+時間段”來回答。
――How soon will you arrive in Beijing?
----In 3 hours.
(二)賓語從句
1.在句子中起賓語作用的句子叫賓語從句。賓語從句用陳述語序。
2.賓語從句的連接詞:
(1)從屬連詞有that, if, whether。
Nobody knew whether she could pass the exam.
I know that she is from America.
(2)連接代詞有who, whom, whose, what 等
Do you know whose book it is?
Could you tell me what your father looks like?
(3)連接副詞有when, where, why, how等
He didn’t tell me when we could meet again.
