1. no matter 無論;不論

no matter意為“無論”與“what, who, which,where, how”等疑問詞連用,引導讓步狀語從句。

2.localadj. 當地的;本地的

avoid doing sth.避免做某事

avoid 后面常跟名詞、代詞或動名詞作賓語,但不能跟不定式作賓語。

e.g. They triedtoavoid making Mrs. Li angry. 他們盡量避免讓李老師生氣。

4. mobileadj. 可移動的;非固定的

mobile phone 手機

5. everydayadj. 每天的;日常的

everyday是every和day構成的合成詞。everyday是形容詞, 僅用在名詞前作定語,不能單獨使用。

every day是副詞短語,意為“每天”,用作時間狀語。

5. Thenumberofforeign players, including Chinese players, in the NBA has increased.

1) number表示數量。由于是單數形式,謂語動詞需要與之相配,為has increased。這種主語和謂語在數上的匹配稱作“主謂一致”。當主語為復數概念是,謂語動詞用復數形式與之匹配;當主語為單數概念時,謂語動詞則用單數形式。

e.g. Peopletherearevery friendly. people為復數概念。

2) the number of…“……的數量;……的數目”。作主語時,謂語動詞應用單數形式。
