Good afternoon, everyone, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson withyou.The content of my lesson is Senior English for China Book1B Unit 16 Scientists at work. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the

teaching procedure,and Blackboard design.First, let me talk about the teaching material.

Part 1 Teaching Material:

This unit is about science and scientists. By studying of this unit, we’ll Enable the students to know the serious attitude towards science and develop the interest in science. At the same time ,Let the students learn how to give instructions. this lesson plays an important part in the English teaching in this unit.This is an important lesson in Book One. From this lesson, it starts asking the Ss to grasp contents of each passage. Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.As we all know ,reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has great effect on output , such as speaking and writing . According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新課程標準和教學

大綱), after studying the teaching material and analyzing the rule of children’s growing of mind,I think the teaching aims are the followings:

1.Knowledge objects:

a)The Ss can hear, read, and use the main sentence patterns b)The Ss can understand the content of the lesson.

c)The Ss can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper situation.

2.Ability objects:

(1) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs.

(3) To Improve the student’s reading ability, especially their skimming and scanning ability.

3.Emotion or moral objects:

a)By completing the task,the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in science;

b)Teach the Ss what is “science”, put the moral education in the language study.

Well, how to achieve the teaching objects better, how to stress

the important points and break through the difficult points? As is known to us all,The modern teaching demands the teacher should improve the students’ ability. A good teaching method requires that the teacher should have the leading effects. According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’learning background ,I will use the following methods .

Part 2 Teaching Methods:

In my opinion,the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” Approach(交際教學法), “Whole language

teaching” (整體語言教學法)and “Task-based” language teaching (任務教學法). That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. According to the modern social communication teaching theories(現(xiàn)代社會交際教學理論), I adopt the TSA method(情景教學) and TBLT method (語言任務教學)in my teaching, namely Total Situational Action and Task-based Language Teaching.The former is a “scene —

activity” teaching method .It establishes a real scene and the interaction between the teacher and the Ss . The latter offers the Ss an opportunity to complete the tasks in which Ss use

language to achieve a specific outcome. The activity reflects real life and learners focus on meaning, they are free to use any language they want.At the same time, I’ll make use of the modern electricity teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means, it can develop the Ss creativity in learning English.

1. Clancy had heard of the killer whales that every year killer whales would help whalers catch baleen whales. Did he believe it at first? When did he believe it was a true anecdote?

2. How many paragraphs are there all together in story1? The hunt can be divided into 3 stages.

Stage1: before the hunt: (para. 2-6):

Old Tom’s doing: throwing itself out of … and crashing down again… Why? to tell the whalers…, …by the boat…, circling back to …Why? to lead the whalers…

2. 跟讀與閱讀 完成導學案練習

我說的課題是高中一年級英語上冊第2單元English around the world的第三課時Reading。我說課的內(nèi)容包括三部分,一是教材分析,二是說教法,三是說教學程序。

一、 教材分析

1、單元背景分析

本單元討論的話題是“世界英語”介紹了英語在當今世界范圍內(nèi)人們生活中扮演的不同角色及其重要意義。尤其介紹了英美語言的差異,讓學生更進一步了解學好英語的必要性和其重要意義。促使學生了解英美語言在詞匯、拼寫、語音等方面的區(qū)別。使學生在認識到學好英語的重要性的同時,更加熱愛自己的祖國,從而培養(yǎng)他們的祖國意識。

2、教材內(nèi)容分析

w 本課是高中一年級英語上冊 ,unit 2 English around the world 中的Reading.

w 本單元的中心話題是“世界英語”,具體涉及“英語在當今世界范圍內(nèi)人們生活中扮演的不同角色及其重要意義,以及英美語言的差異”。本課的語言知識及語言技能主要是圍繞“世界英語”這一中心話題進行設計的。

w 本課時主要分為兩部分:

1)Pre-reading. (讀前準備)

“ 讀前準備”部分是Reading的前奏,此部分設計了兩個問題,誘發(fā)學思考。通過對問題的討論和比較,讓學生明白學好英語的重要性。

2).Reading (閱讀)

“閱讀”部分文體為說明文,全文共分三個段落。全文闡述了一個鮮明的觀點:英語的確是當今世界范圍內(nèi)使用最廣泛的一門語言之一,也是聯(lián)合國的工作語言之一,它的重要作用是其他語言不可替代的。

3)Post-reading(讀后)

“讀后”部分共設計了兩類題型:第一部分是和個問題,其中前面兩個是細節(jié)理解題;第三題是一個開放性題目,鼓勵學生把英語學習與現(xiàn)實生活相結(jié)合。第二部分是填空形式,幫助學生梳理文章,掌握文章主要細節(jié),概括中心思想,實為文章的一個綱要。

三部分均以提高學生閱讀能力為主,所以將此三部分有科學地整合成一節(jié)閱讀課。

3、教學重點

1)、使學生在認識學好英語的重要性的同時,更加熱愛自己的祖國。

2)、發(fā)展學生的閱讀能力,尤其是歸納總結(jié),猜詞和查讀(scanning)的能力。

根據(jù)課文特點及新課標對高一年級學生英語學習能力的要求,本課的教學目標我定為以下幾方面:一、語言目標,二、情感目標。

1. 語言目標

本課為閱讀課型,是一篇說明文,涉及了英語在當今世界范圍內(nèi)人們生活中扮演的不同角色及其重要意義。尤其介紹了英美英語語言的差異。通過閱讀使學生了解“世界英語”的一些基本概況,包括它的重要性和英美英語的差異。教師根據(jù)課文內(nèi)容用不同的形式來訓練學生,提高閱讀技能。由于課文講述的是世界英語的話題,學生會感興趣。為了引起共鳴,可把課文與生活中經(jīng)歷結(jié)合一起討論。本課的目的是使學生提高聽、說和閱讀能力,更深的了解學好英語的重要意義。從而激發(fā)學生學習英語的興趣。

2. 情感目標

讓學生領會英美不同文化差異和風俗習慣, 領會語言豐富多彩性和發(fā)展變化的特征,使學生在認識世界英語在人們生活中扮演的不同角色的同時,更加熱愛自己的祖國,從而培養(yǎng)他們的祖國意識。培養(yǎng)他們的跨國文化意識和世界意識。

二、說教法

教學環(huán)環(huán)相扣,設計緊湊。先利用學生感興趣的話題引起興趣,然后帶著問題有目的地閱讀文章。通過回答問題掌握細節(jié),理清線索,再從整體上把握它的結(jié)構(gòu)、特色,學習用英語歸納以及復述,最后以拓展課文知識小組活動完成這節(jié)課的整體教學。使他們掌握閱讀技巧的同時也增加了見識。在小組討論過程中,學會用已學詞、句表達出自己的觀點。學生通過體驗、實踐、討論、合作和探究等方式,發(fā)展聽、說、讀、寫的綜合語言技能。

為了能很好地突出重點,突破難點,圓滿完成教學任務,取得良好的教學效果,我抓住重點,聯(lián)系實際,以學生為主體,教師為主導,讓學生集中練習。為了激發(fā)學生的興趣愉快地學,我采用閱讀、快速閱讀、判斷正誤等教學方法,讓學生充分體現(xiàn)課堂教學“主體者”的身份。

三、說教學程序

1、導入:首先在學生對英語是世界上最廣泛使用的語言和越來越多的人在學習英語現(xiàn)有情況了解的基礎上,引出問題“Do you know how many countries use English as their mother tongue?Do you know something about English around the world?”在學生思索時,引出課題English around the world。接著再詢問學生:What language has the largest number of speakers in the world? What language is the most widely spoken and used in the world? How many countries do you know use English as their mother tongue?使學生對本節(jié)課的話題有進一步了解,而且很有興趣了解“世界英語”的具體情況。從另一個角度,先給學生一個語言上的input。激發(fā)學生的興趣和欲望.

2、Pre-reading (讀前準備):在學生回答了以上問題后,我讓學生看這一部分課本上所設的兩個問題: 1) How many languages do you speak? Which is your native language? 2) If you speak more than one language, in what situation do you use the languages?讓學生仔細思考后回答。教師不必忙著下結(jié)論,誘導他們從書中去思考尋找答案,激發(fā)他們探究的興趣。

3、Reading:使學生了解英語在當今世界范圍內(nèi)人們生活中扮演的不同角色及其重要意義。

任務 1:Listen to the tape ,聽錄音,然后讓學生盡力得出大意并且回答問題

1. How many countries are there where the majority of people speak English?

2. How is English used in Hong Kong?

3. What language should we use on the Internet so that we can communicate with people around the world ?

任務2:讓學生帶著問題閱讀課文(scanning)。有目的性閱讀是閱讀訓練一種技巧,并且提醒學生不用太多花大多注意力在地名和新單詞上面,集中精力探究文章內(nèi)容。閱讀后學生給出答案

(教師不要袖手旁觀,可以給學生必要的引導和幫助,發(fā)展學生的自主學習能力,真正的成為學習的主體。)

任務3:根據(jù)課文內(nèi)容,判斷句子對與錯。

1、There are more than 42 countries where the majority of the people speak English in the world.()

2、There are more than 37,500,000 people who learn English as a second language.()

3、New Zealand, South Africa, the Republic of Ireland and the Philippines use English as their mother tongue.()

任務5:分小組討論:1)Why is it becoming more and more important to have a good knowledge of English? 2) In which countries do we find most native speakers of English? Give the names of three counties. 3) Living in China you can use English every day in different situations. Give two examples.給學生五分鐘的時間分組討論,然后讓每組的代表給出答案(完成本課教學目標)。 教師在布置任務后,應監(jiān)控各小組的活動,適當?shù)臅r候可以參與到學生的活動中去。在活動中,教師多用評價性語言:Marvelous /Excellent /Fantastic /Well done/Great…

(這項任務型活動,使學生有機會表達自己的看法與觀點,同時,讓他們學會合作,發(fā)展與人溝通的能力。進一步提高語言實際運用能力,使學生的思維能力、想象力、協(xié)作和創(chuàng)新精神等綜合素質(zhì)得到發(fā)展。)

5、Summing-up(總結(jié))

Through learning this passage, we have got to know that English is becoming more and more popular all over the world now. So English learning seems important to everyone, especially us students of the new century. With China’s entry into WTO, English will play a more important part in business, in tourism, and even in people’s daily life. So it’s no doubt that everyone should have a good knowledge of English. And I hope everyone in our class can make an effort to learn English well. But on the other hand, it doesn’t mean English is better than Chinese. We must keep it in mind that one’s mother tongue is the most beautiful language in the world. The reason why we learn English is that we should thus be more capable of building up our country. 背景知識介紹

1.作者

Guy de Maupassant(莫泊桑1850—1893)was a well—known French novelist and short –story writer.在少年時他就對文學表現(xiàn)出了濃厚的興趣,很小的時候開始寫作,在30多歲成為著明的小說家,他的大部分作品講的是人們的日常生活。1871年開始,他在政府部門就職,這期間他熟悉了政府職員的生活。這段經(jīng)歷幫助他創(chuàng)造出了他的短篇小說“項鏈”。他的作品簡潔明了,諷刺運用得恰到好處。莫泊桑晚年承受疾病圍繞,1893年病逝于巴黎。

2.有關這部戲的介紹

“項鏈”這篇課文是一個獨幕劇,它包括三個人物:Mathilde Loisel, a yang woman;

Pierre Loisel, Mathilde’s husband, a government worker; Jeanne, Mathilde’s good friend.

課文難點分析

1. Scene1 A park in Paris ……walks towards her.

這部分用斜體表示,或象下文一樣置于括號中,叫做舞臺指導說明(stage directions )一般使用現(xiàn)在時態(tài)。戲劇一般首先介紹故事發(fā)生的時間(time)、地點(place)和劇中人物(characters)。在這一段中有了具體介紹。

2. …but I don’t think I know you. 我好象并不認識你。

I don’t think I should do that. 我認為我不該做那件事。

I don’t believe she will come. 我上信她不會來。

“think, believe” 這兩個詞的否定式在主句中表示,而賓語從句中的動詞用肯定式。

3. In fact you do. 事實上你認識我。

=In fact, you know me. 為了避免和前面重復,所以用助動詞代替。

e.g.①We all love singing, but he doesn’t. 我們都喜歡唱歌,但他不喜歡。

②Class 2 went to a picnic, but Class 1 didn’t. 2班去野餐了,但1班沒去。

4. recognize vt. 認識,辨認

e.g.①She was so changed that I hardly recognized her. 她變得我?guī)缀跽J不出來了。

②Harry recognized me in the crowd. 亨利在人群中認出了我。

5. Where have you been all these years? 這些年你上哪兒去了?

e.g. The teacher asked Jane, “You didn’t come to school, last week, where have you been?”

老師問Jane,“你上星期沒來學校,去哪兒了?”

6. That’s because of hard work. 那是因為勞累。

e.g.①He couldn’t go further. That’s because of his wounded leg.

他不能再往前走了,因為他的腿受了傷。

because of后面跟名詞在句中作狀語與because加句子引導的狀語從句意義相同。

7. Have times been hard for you? 這些年境況不太好吧!

times這個詞我們以前見過:(morden times )表示目前或某種特殊時期的生活情況或環(huán)

境,可譯作“日子”、“境況”、“時代”。

e.g.①He didn’t complain of hard times, but kept on working hard. 他沒有抱怨時勢艱難,相反的是一直努力工作。

②Students thought times are terrible in July. 學生們認為7月是一段難熬的日子。

8. But what happened? 發(fā)生什么事了?

happen take place. 沒有被動式。

e.g.①I remembered the whole things as if it happened yesterday.

我記得整個事情,就好象是昨天發(fā)生的。

②──Why didn’t the boss come yesterday? 為什么老板昨天沒來?

──An accident happened to him. 他出事了。

9. Do you remember one afternoon ten years ago when I came to your house and borrowed a

necklace of yours. 10年前的一個下午,我到你家借過一條項鏈,你還記得嗎?

Ten year ago和由when 引導的定語從句一起修飾afternoon.

e.g.①Cart still remembers one afternoon in his first year when the professor took the students the Chemistry lab.卡爾仍然記得一年級時教授帶學生到化學實驗室去的那個下午的情景。

②There are thousands of starts in the sky that are like our sun.

天空中有成千上萬顆像太陽一樣的恒星。

10. I’ve written to accept the invitation. 我已經(jīng)寫信表示接受邀請了。

e.g.①I received a note, but didn’t accept it. 我收到了一張支票,但沒接受。

②Jack received my letter, and accepted my advice.

Jack收到了我的信并且接受了我的建議。

③give sb. An invitation給sb發(fā)邀請(invite sb. to…)

refuse sb’s invitation. 拒絕sb的邀請。

11. I haven’t got an evening dress for the ball! 我沒有參加晚會的禮服啊!

12. But, just this once. After all, this ball is very important.

不過就這么一次,要知道,這次舞會很重要啊!

after all“畢竟,終究,到底”。用來說服或提醒對方,引出對方似乎忘記了的某個

重要的論點或理由。

e.g.①They met with difficulties, but I hear that they’re succeeded after all.

他們遇到了困難,但我聽說他們終究是成功了。

②She said she would not go to the ball, but she went there after all.

她說不去參加舞會,但最后還是去了。

13. I have no jewellery to wear. 我沒有首飾戴。

dress和wear的區(qū)別:

e.g.①She always dresses in green. 她總是穿著綠色的衣服。

②Dress at once! 立刻穿上衣服。

③The mother dresses the baby everyday. 媽媽每天給小寶寶穿衣服。

而wear的賓語只能是鞋帽等物品,表示一種狀態(tài)。

④He’s wearing a new coat today. 他今天穿了一件新大衣。

但不能說:Wear your clothes at once.

14. Can’t you just wear a flower instead? 難道不能就戴一朵花嗎?

這是一個否定疑問句,表示吃驚,可能含有批評或責備的意思。

e.g.①Hasn’t Albert telephoned you? Albert還沒有打電話來嗎?(說話人認為Albert本該

已經(jīng)打電話來了,但卻沒打,因此感到奇怪,并含有批評的口氣)

②It’s getting dark. Can’t you walk a little faster? 天快黑了,你不能走快點嗎?(說話

人覺得對方走慢了,含有責備的口氣)

15. She married a man with a lot of money. 她嫁了一個很有錢的人。

marry sb. 娶了某人/嫁給某人。get married結(jié)了婚。

be/ get married to sb.與某人結(jié)婚,不能用 with.

e.g.①—Is Jack married? Jack結(jié)婚了嗎?

—He got married last year. 他去年結(jié)婚了。

②He has been married to Mary for 3years. 他和Mary結(jié)婚3年了。

③Alice married a Frenchman. Alice和一個法國人結(jié)婚了。

16. So I called on you…

So是連詞,用來承上啟下,表示話語的邏輯性。“我想起你嫁了一個有錢人,所以就去看望你……”。

call on/ upon sb. visit sb.到家看望。

e.g.①It’s to years since I last called on my former teacher.

我最近的一次拜望老師已經(jīng)是10年前了。

Call at sb’s house. 到家看望。

②“I’ll call at your house tomorrow morning. Are you free? “—Yes. You’re welcome.”

“明天我想到家去看望你,你有空嗎?”“好的,歡迎”。

17. You tried it on and it looked wonderful on you.

你把項鏈戴上試了試,戴在你身上真是太好看了。

e.g.①Never buy shoes without trying them on first. 鞋子要先試再買。

②The tailor asked the girl to try on the new dress. 裁縫要那個小孩試一下新衣服。

try on: 試穿,試戴。

這是承上啟下的句子,后面的表語可以省略,以避免重復,在口語中常見。

e.g.①She said it was a valuable necklace. It really was.

她說那是一條很貴重的項鏈,的確很貴重。

②“Are they in the park?” “I think they are.” “他們在公園里嗎?”“我想是的”。

句中的did是助動詞,在肯定句中用來強調(diào)它后面的動詞。

句中的One用來指代前在的名詞(necklace)。復數(shù)用ones.

pay back作“償還”,“還錢”解。pay back money to sb. pay back money for sth.

②“Have you paid back the money for the foods?” 購買食品的錢還了沒有?

③They paid off all the debts on time. 他們按時把債還清了。

④Once we have paid off the store, we shall owe money to no one.

一旦把商店的錢還清了,我們就不欠任何人的錢了。

“Why” 在這里相當于“the reason why …”即(為什么)…的原因。

e.g. He had stolen the necklace. That’s why he was punished.

at all“全然”“完全”。常用于否定句中“not…at all”“完全不”,“根本不”。 e.g.①She’s rather lazy, not at all suitable for the post. 她太懶了,根本不適合這個職業(yè)。

②I don’t believe her at all. 我根本就不相信她。

26. It was worth five hundred francs at the most… 它最多值500法郎。

be worth+sth. /doing sth.“值(多少錢)”

e.g.①This piece of jewelry is worth $500. 這件手飾值500美元。

②His suggestion is worth consideration / considering. 他的建議值得考慮。

③The museum is worth a visit. 那個博物館值得一看。

27. He is now at the Lost and Found.

他現(xiàn)在失物招領處。

間接問句

直接引語如果是疑問句,變成間接引語時,有以下共同要求:

1.要把疑問語序變成陳述句語序。

2.主語的人稱,謂語動詞的時態(tài)以及狀語要作相應的變化。

3.句末要用句號。

直接引語如果是一般疑問句,變成間接引語時,還要用if / whether引導。如果在引語中含有“or”,則只能用whether.

e.g.① He asked her, “Are you pleased?” ?

He asked her if / whether she was pleased.

②She asked me, “Have you finished the work?” ?

She asked me if / where I had finished the work.

③ Mother asked, “Will you stay at home or go with us?” ?

Mother asked (me) whether I would stay at home or go with them.

直接引語如果是特殊疑問句,變成間接引語時仍和原來的疑問代詞。

e.g.① She asked me, “Where have you been all these years?” ?

She asked me where I had been all those years.

② He asked Tom, “What are you looking for?” ?

He asked Tom what he was looking for.

③ He asked me, “Why didn’t you stop her?” ?

He asked me why I hadn’t stopped her.
